Il Myriophyllum è una pianta a stelo elegante e a crescita rapida originaria del Sud America, che dona un aspetto piumoso e leggero all'acquario, creando un forte contrasto con altre piante. Le sue foglie finemente divise catturano l'occhio e, nelle varietà 'Gold' e 'White', offrono una splendida colorazione che va dal verde-giallo brillante al quasi bianco-argento (in base all'intensità della luce e alla concentrazione di nutrienti), rendendola un punto focale.

Per mantenere il suo aspetto folto e la colorazione brillante, la pianta necessita di buona illuminazione e un'adeguata integrazione di nutrienti. La sua rapida crescita la rende un'ottima consumatrice di nitrati e fosfati, aiutando a contrastare la proliferazione delle alghe.

Potatura:

Essendo una pianta a stelo a crescita rapida, necessita di potature frequenti per mantenere una forma cespugliosa e per evitare che le parti inferiori vengano ombreggiate. La potatura si effettua tagliando la parte superiore dello stelo (cimali) e ripiantandola nel substrato, favorendo la ramificazione e un aspetto più folto e compatto.

The Myriophyllum is an elegant and fast-growing stem plant native to South America, which gives a feathery, light appearance to the aquarium, creating a strong contrast with other plants. Its finely divided leaves are eye-catching, and in the 'Gold' and 'White' varieties, they offer a splendid coloration ranging from bright yellow-green to almost white-silver (depending on light intensity and nutrient concentration), making it a focal point.

To maintain its bushy appearance and bright coloration, the plant requires good lighting and adequate nutrient integration. Its rapid growth makes it an excellent consumer of nitrates and phosphates, helping to counteract algae proliferation.

Ideal Cultivation Parameters:

 * Temperature: 22–27 °C

 * pH: 6.0–6.5

 * CO₂: CO₂ injection is highly recommended to ensure vigorous growth and more intense colors.
