Syngonanthus sp. “Lago Grande”

A rare and highly ornamental aquatic plant characterized by numerous thin, elongated, slightly arching leaves that form dense and very attractive clumps.

Under stable conditions, it grows well and produces many new shoots. It is not among the most difficult Syngonanthus species, but it performs best in soft, slightly acidic water with stable CO₂ and complete fertilization.

It prefers clean water, good circulation, and relatively stable parameters. A nutrient rich substrate is beneficial, especially for maintaining vigorous and compact growth.

Fertilization

With 2HR Aquarist, a complete APT fertilizer works very well. APT Complete is a good choice for simple dosing, while a separate macro and micro approach can be used when tighter nutrient control is preferred.

With MasterLine, the combination of MasterLine I + MasterLine II is very suitable. Dose regularly according to aquarium volume, plant mass, and actual nutrient consumption. In a high tech aquarium, it is best to keep nitrate and phosphate consistently available and avoid allowing either to reach zero.

For this plant, stability is more important than aggressive fertilization. Stable CO₂, low KH, adequate light, and consistently available nutrients usually produce better results than excessive dosing.
