Often confused with Java moss, Vesicularia species differ by forming more compact and upright growth patterns, with slightly thicker and darker green fronds. This genus includes species such as Vesicularia montagnei and Vesicularia dubyana, though the specific variety here has been selected for its elegant leaf structure and fast anchoring behavior on hardscape.

This moss thrives in soft, slightly acidic water (pH 5.5–6, GH 6–7, KH 2), with CO₂ supplementation (20–30 ppm) and moderate light intensity (20–40 µmol PAR). It adapts well to various setups and is perfect for attaching to driftwood, lava rock, or stainless steel mesh. Growth is medium-fast for a moss, and it responds well to trimming, creating lush, layered surfaces over time.

Vesicularia sp. è una varietà di muschio elegante e molto adattabile, ideale per chi desidera texture fitte e ordinate in acquari sia classici che moderni. Spesso confusa con la Java moss, questa specie si distingue per la crescita più compatta e verticale, con fronde leggermente più scure e consistenti. All'interno del genere Vesicularia si trovano piante come la V. montagnei o la V. dubyana, ma la varietà offerta è stata selezionata per la sua forma ordinata e per la capacità di ancorarsi velocemente al supporto.

Cresce al meglio in acqua tenera e leggermente acida (pH 5.5–6, GH 6–7, KH 2), con CO₂ (20–30 ppm) e luce da moderata a medio-alta (20–40 µmol PAR). Si adatta bene a legni, rocce laviche o retine in acciaio, formando tappeti o tende muschiose ben strutturate. La crescita è medio-rapida rispetto ad altri muschi e può essere modellata facilmente con la potatura.

L’adattamento dalla forma emersa alla forma sommersa è graduale e senza problemi: i getti sommersi prenderanno naturalmente il sopravvento. Le porzioni in vendita sono già adulte e coltivate in forma sommersa, pronte per crescere subito senza sciogliersi.

Oft mit Java-Moos verwechselt, wächst es kompakter und aufrechter, mit dunkler grünen, dickeren Blättchen. Zum Vesicularia-Genus gehören u. a.
