Cultivation requires intense lighting (above 60 PAR), CO₂ injection (20–30 ppm), and complete fertilization, especially rich in iron and micronutrients to maintain the deep coloration. Recommended water parameters: pH 5.5–6.0, GH 6–7, KH 2, conductivity 150–200 µS. Growth is slow to moderate compared to other Hygrophila species.

Adaptation phase: the plants you receive are already fully grown and submerged, not in vitro. They do not melt after planting and start growing right away.

Questa rara variante della Hygrophila sp. 'Araguaia' si distingue per le foglie lunghe e strette, a forma lanceolata, che assumono tonalità rosso-bronzo intenso sotto luce forte. Le foglie, più affusolate rispetto alla forma classica, hanno margini lisci e una nervatura centrale che può virare al viola in condizioni ideali. Diese seltene Variante von Hygrophila sp. 'Araguaia' zeigt schmale, lanzettförmige Blätter, die bei starkem Licht eine tiefrote bis bronzene Färbung annehmen. Die Blätter sind schlanker und länger als bei der Standardform, mit glatten Rändern und einer gut sichtbaren Mittelrippe, die bei optimaler Pflege violett werden kann. Die Stängel wachsen aufrecht und kompakt – perfekt für den Mittelgrund.

Pflege: Sehr starkes Licht (über 60 PAR), CO₂-Zugabe (20–30 ppm), umfassende Düngung mit Eisen und Spurenelementen. Optimale Wasserwerte: pH 5.5–6.0, GH 6–7, KH 2, Leitfähigkeit 150–200 µS. Wachstum ist langsamer als bei anderen Hygrophila-Arten.
